What is Metabolic Syndrome?

Many psychotropic medications have side effects that increase what we call metabolic syndrome – a variety of health issues such as: obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes etc. These can be a big disappointment when medication has been so helpful and you’re doing all you can to become more healthy!

The question is, what do I do to fix or even avoid metabolic syndrome??

It is often helpful to talk to your healthcare professional about this – they may have some great ideas and explanations. They will also be able to change your medications if necessary. At the same time, there are many things you will have to do outside your provider’s office! Check out this LINK to find out what you can do starting today.
